Food Festival returns to Powderham

A thirty minute drive from Three Pound Cottage lies Powderham Castle, a fortified manor house in a beautiful setting beside the Exe estuary and family home to the Earl of Devon. It’s pretty much a real life Downton Abbey open to the public between April and October.

With over 600 years of history, castle tours, fabulous grounds and gardens within an ancient deer park, it’s a lovely place to visit whether you’re staying at our Dartmoor holiday cottage or not.

This weekend see’s the return of their Food Festival giving even more of an appetite for a visit. This year will be the 10th year of the Festival so you can be sure it will be better than ever. It runs on both the 2nd and 3rd of October starting at 10am.
