What our guests say!
We’re passionate about feedback, no matter how small. We want all our guests to enjoy our Dartmoor holiday home as much as we do, so we always ask them for ideas on how we could have made their stay better.
We love reading our guest reviews as well as their comments in our guest book. This word cloud of what our guests have written on TripAdvisor says it all. It’s exactly how we feel about Three Pound Cottage too.
In addition to the great reviews, there are many other reasons why to choose our self catering cottage for your next Dartmoor holiday.

We’re now accepting bookings for holidaying at our Dartmoor holiday cottage in 2019. For a limited period we’re keeping prices the same as this year.
The historic Prince of Wales pub in Princetown is on the market for just £99,000! Take a look at the Plymouth Herald story.
Princetown is famous for the notorious Dartmoor Prison. The prison’s museum is a fascinating place to visit whilst staying at our Dartmoor Holiday Cottage.
Tintagel (IDS Photos)
A 1,300 year old piece of slate is now on display at Tintagel Castle.
The slate is a rare archaeological find as it is inscribed with a combination of Latin letters and Christian symbols, adding weight to the theory that Tintagel was a royal seat. Bizarrely it was being used as a window ledge! Read all about it in the full BBC news story.
Tintagel is only 55 miles away and makes for a great day out whilst staying at our Dartmoor holiday home. We like to combine it with a morning of Dragon Archery (one of our top 10 holiday must do’s), lunch in Boscastle and dinner at Port Isaac (home of Doc Martin) – it’s doable thanks to the great location of Three Pound Cottage.
The Dartmoor Visitor Centre at Princetown has launched a new exhibition to show off the “Dartmoor Range” covering the works of local artists capturing the rugged beauty of Dartmoor as well as local produce.
Entry is free and the Dartmoor Visitor Centre is open daily so why not plan a visit whilst holidaying at Three Pound Cottage. Princetown is only 19 miles from our Dartmoor self catering holiday cottage with plenty of Dartmoor “must see’s” en route.

A big thank you to all our guests for their wonderful reviews and feedback.
We are so pleased they enjoy staying at our Dartmoor holiday home as much as we do.
A young couple have celebrated their wedding day by climbing Haytor in full wedding outfits and without ropes! What a way to tie the knot – we wish them a long and happy marriage.
You can read the full Devon Live story and watch the video.
Haytor really is a “must see” whilst staying at our Dartmoor holiday home, Three Pound Cottage.
Ten Tors Challenge
A yomp from our Dartmoor holiday cottage this weekend may strike fear into the heart.
Seeing a large horde of teenagers, soldiers, naval helicopters and search & rescue are individually concerning but all together!
Don’t fear, this is the amazing annual Dartmoor event “The Ten Tors“.
2,400 teenagers rise to the challenge of hiking across Dartmoor in teams of 6, covering distances from 35 to 55 miles over 2 days. They’ll be covering some of Dartmoor’s roughest terrain in changeable weather conditions, carrying all they need to get through the next 2 days, including wild camping!
We wish all the teams good luck, happy trails and safe home – they’re awesome.
After several weeks of refurbishment, The Cleave Pub is now fully open offering a complete menu.
With their fabulous food and warm welcome, it really is the perfect first port of call whilst holidaying at our self catering cottage on Dartmoor. It’s just a stone’s throw from the holiday cottage so an ideal evening out.
This Mondays Civilisations program on BBC1 at 7:30pm is all about Dartmoor artists and artisans. The preview has some great footage of Dartmoor, particularly Haytor, the most popular and iconic Tor which is only a few miles from our Dartmoor holiday cottage.
Take a look at our Dartmoor page to find out why it’s such a great place to holiday.
