Q. Arrival and Departure – what time can we arrive at the holiday cottage and when do we have to leave?

Please arrive at the cottage anytime from 4pm on the first day of your stay.  We kindly request that you vacate the cottage by 11am on your final day to provide the housekeeper with sufficient time to prepare the cottage for incoming guests.

Q. Heating – do you charge heating/winter fuel supplements?

All central heating and hot water is provided at no additional cost with the thermostat under your control to ensure that your stay is comfortable.  We also provide you with an initial supply of logs for the wood burner (full user instructions are provided for the woodburner as well as information on where to purchase additional log supplies).

Q. Internet/Broadband – can I access broadband from the cottage?

The cottage has free wifi broadband as well as Cat6 LAN connections in the bedrooms.  In addition the local pub and tea rooms also provide free wifi access to customers.

Q. Keys – how do we get access to the cottage/collect keys?

We will contact you directly with information about how to collect keys to the holiday cottage prior to your stay.

Q. Linen – do I need to bring my own linen/towels?

All bed linen, as well as bath/hand towels and tea towels, are provided for guests staying at the cottage.  Please note that beach towels are not provided – please ensure that you bring these with you.

Q. Local amenities – how far away is the nearest shop?

We are very fortunate to have retained a village shop in Lustleigh, offering local produce as well as every day essentials such as newspapers, milk, bread and Post Office services etc.  Further stores and supermarkets are just a short drive away in Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot etc.

Q. Parking – is there any parking close to the cottage?

Please feel free to park your vehicle outside of the property to unload on arrival or when returning from shopping trips etc.  However, out of consideration for neighbours and those walking from Wreyland please find parking on the roadside by the church (just a few metres away).

Q. Places to eat/drink – are there any good pubs, restaurants and takeaways nearby

There is an excellent pub/bistro just a stone’s throw from the cottage as well as a great number of other excellent pubs, bistros, restaurants and takeaways close by.  Please see our Places to eat page.

Q. Price – how much will the holiday cottage cost?

All our prices are clearly shown on the Book Now page and cover the cost of renting the holiday cottage for 7 nights (running Saturday to Saturday).  We pride ourselves on not ‘surprising’ you with hidden costs.  If you have any questions at all please contact us.

Q. Short breaks – can I book for short/weekend break?

We do offer short break durations (from 2-4 nights) outside of peak periods.  Please contact us directly for price and availability.

Q. Smoking – is smoking allowed in the cottage?

For the benefit of all guests and to comply with our insurance cover, smoking is not permitted within the cottage.

Q. Visiting from the Continent – what’s the best way of travelling from the Continent?
