This was our first visit to Three Pound Cottage and we absolutely love the cottage. It is well-equipped, comfortable and with lovely details. We enjoyed several excellent walks in Dartmoor NP.

Spring time in Lustleigh

Another wonderful time at Three Pound Cottage - what's not to like abut this little Gem in Lustleigh! This was our 7th visit, however the first time in May where we have enjoyed the glorious walks around The Cleave and beyond, and especially the wonderful bird song, flora etc. We absolutely love the cottage which is so well-equipped and comfortable (and cosy) even when we visit to see the New Year in! We highly recommend this glorious place.
Thanks again to Michaela and Brian.

The best cottage ever!

We have had a wonderful time in Lustleigh and in this cosy, spaceious and well equipped chocolate box cottage. If you are looking for something very special and authentical than go for Three Pound Cottage.
Lustleigh and the surroundings are just stunning and we enjoyed every minute being in the nature at special places in Dartmoor NP. The little village with great pub, little shop, wonderful playground and very friendly people were perfect.
We are very looking forward for returning one day.

5 Christmas stars for Three Pound Cottage

We spent Christmas 2018 in this delightful cottage. We cooked a lovely Christmas dinner in the well equipped kitchen. Then after a bracing walk was had exploring the amazing countryside close by. Finished the day off snuggled up cosy infront of the log fire.. bliss.
The local pub close by The Cleave was extremely welcoming and food very good ....but need to book in advance. Lustleigh is a village positioned on the moor with great access to Tors and the local town Bovey Tracey for supplies.
We will definitely be booking again this is the best cottage on the moors we have found to; rewind charge your batteries and escape from lifes constant stresses ...
Thank you for the use of your home

We stayed at Three Pound Cottage in August 2018 for one week. I cannot speak highly enough of the quaint cottage which was in absolute pristine condition, the locality which is far enough from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but near enough to access everything we needed for a family with young children. The village of Lustleigh is absolutely lovely with the locals being very welcoming. Of all the places we have been, the kids have said that this was number 1. Thank you. We'll be back.

Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are thrilled that you and the children really enjoyed your stay in Lustleigh - and we're especially pleased that the children rated us their No. 1 :-).We very much look forward to welcoming you all back to Three Pound Cottage in the future. Perfect cottage

We had a lovely stay in Three Pound Cottage.

We know Lustleigh very well & have been visiting for over 40 years, so to actually stay in the village in a cottage we have always admired was lovely.

Three Pound Cottage was perfect. Very comfortable & had everything we needed. The welcome pack upon arrival was amazing especially after a long drive. We absolutely loved that we could get Netflix & the Wifi was excellent - much needed when there's very little signal in the village.

The village of Lustleigh is very quaint. The pub just around the corner is lovely & does excellent food. There's a little village shop open 7 day's a week. There's lots to do nearby & lots of lovely walks to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The cottage has plenty of info on these.

The owners Michaela & Brian have provided the perfect getaway cottage. They made sure our stay was as good as can be, even taking the time to call to make sure we had everything we needed. We really felt looked after.

We will definitely like to return to Three Pound cottage in the future.

Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Anne & family.

Lovely Cottage

We really enjoyed staying in Three Pound Cottage and Lustleigh. It is a lovely cottage, cosy and comfortable, and has been renovated to a high standard whilst retaining the character with many original features. The village is very pretty and peaceful, a great base for walking, exploring Darmoor and other excursions. Blessed with a good pub, village store and excellent tearoom it is a perfect location to unwind. Would definitely like to return.

Dear Alison, Clive and Matthew, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Three Pound Cottage and were able to enjoy the many things that Lustleigh has to offer. We are very much look forward to welcoming you back again in the future,Michaela and Brian x

Home from home

We had a lovely week in Three Pound Cottage and can only agree with all the other positive reviews. From the moment we walked through the front door to the day that we sadly set off on our journey home, we had a relaxing and enjoyable time. The owners appear to have thought of everything, making this a home-from-home experience. We visited Lustleigh to have a walking break and, from the village, there is huge variety of routes to follow. There's even a folder of suggested walks for you in the cottage. With a pub that serves good meals and a village shop that's amply stocked, it's possible to have a busy week without getting into your car. That's a wonderful prospect for those that live hectic lives! You won't even be bothered by calls on your mobile, unless you go and stand on the steps of the village church. You won't be completely out of touch as the cottage has wi-fi and there's a landline for emergencies. As I said, the owners seem to have thought of everything.

Dear Jan and Alan Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted that you had a wonderful stay and that you found everything you needed in the cottage :-)You are absolutely right, there's so much of interest close by that you dont really need the car other than to get you to Lustleigh in the first place. We do hope to welcome you back again soonThanks againMichaela and Brian x

Perfect holiday

Had a fantastic holiday in Three Pound Cottage. We were there during the week of June when the temperature reached 30 degrees, but the cottage stayed wonderfully cool. The location is perfect, in the beautiful village of Lustleigh. From the cottage it is a very short walk to a great pub and a well supplied village shop. Also you can step out of the cottage and access some lovely walks without even getting into the car.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
On our last night we attended a brilliant performance of a Midsummer Night's Dream in the Orchard, put on by Kennford Productions. A perfect ending to a perfect holiday.
We hope to return in the future.

Dear Ros and Gary Thank you for such a wonderful review. We are thrilled you had a lovely stay and what a treat, watching Midsummer Night's Dream in the Orchard :-)We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future All the very bestBrian and Michaela x
