Three Pound Cottage would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers that make up Dartmoor Search & Rescue.
When people think of them, it’s usually images of helping people in trouble on Dartmoor by stretchering them down to safety. They also play a big part in the Dartmoor community and are often not given the praise and admiration they deserve. Last week they showed this tremendously by stretchering Gilby Taylor up to the top of Belstone Tor so he could enjoy the view. This all makes sense when you learn Gilby is reliant on wheelchair and until that day had only enjoyed the view of Belstone Tor from his garden.
